Welcome to Shoal Creek Sanctuary! We are a volunteer- and community-driven effort to protect and restore 247 acres of forest in southeast Athens-Clarke County. With a conservation easement from the Oconee River Land Trust and the help of our dedicated volunteers, our mission is to preserve this land and its biodiversity for generations to come. We also do conservation-related work in our community.
Join us monthly for First Sundays in the Sanctuary from 1:30-3:30PM, or check out our weekly volunteer hours for more ways to get involved.
